Your edit to Panelling

[edit]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Panelling. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policy for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Thank you. TerriersFan 21:57, 18 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You are wrong - when you say that the external link which i have added to the Wainscoting is inappropriate. I have added http:/ /www.wainscoting.info which is totally an informational site and has a very close content to wainscoting. So, you have no right to remove this link - because it is an informational lin /not affiliated with anybody/ So, i will add this link again and please read and research this link with special care because it is not a commercial link

. and more --- you are totally wrong when you say that you don't allow some commercial external links on your site - besides it's the voilation of wikipedia terms.

For example, see the external links on your article -London Interbank Offered Rate- you'll find there an external link of - MoneyCafe.com - which just makes money on google adsense and you help him/her to make money - because you don't ban this commercial link.

So, you should be more careful instead of not allowing me to place an informational link directly targeted on the content of the article

i place an informational link on

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wainscoting

and that site is totally on Wainscoting

the adress of the site is: http:/ /www.wainscoting.info/

and is totally informational

so, that kind of activity is totally legal and don't remove that like from the site

Best regards,

waiting for your reply

P.S. and please provide a contact information, where i'll be able to appeal any illegal activities against me.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Cris newman (talkcontribs)

Please study WP:EL that describes what is permitted. This particular article is from an unknown source so we have no way of knowing whether the information contained in it is reliable. Please also see WP:RS. TerriersFan 09:59, 20 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Final Warning for You

[edit]

PERSONAL SITE means that site is about one person - about his/her biography, etc. - and an AFFILIATED site mean that it sells something for other sites. http:/ /www.wainscoting.info is wholely about wainscoting and does not sell anything. So, this means that http:/ /www.wainscoting.info is not a PERSONAL SITE or an AFFILIATED site. Wainscoting.info is an informational site and according to the wikipedia terms you have no right to ban it. Doing this kind of activity you are violating wikipedia terms.

So, keep your Final Warning for Youself - don't remove this informational link from wikipedia - which helps many users to get more information about wainscoting. Don't remove this informational link from wikipedia otherwise i'll appeal your illegal activity. Don't remove this informational link from wikipedia - because all information you have already provided for me is nothing more than black-mailing with false arguments.

So, don't remove this informational link from wikipedia

Best Regards,

Good Bye— Preceding unsigned comment added by cris newman (talkcontribs)

Final warning

[edit]

I think that we have finally bottomed this. Please see these posts here and here for example. If you check the guidance, above, you will see that it is not permissible to post a link to a website that "links to personal web sites or links to web sites with which you are affiliated". I have removed the link. If you post it again you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. TerriersFan 23:59, 20 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Persistent spammers will have their websites blacklisted from Wikipedia. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below. -- lucasbfr talk 16:02, 21 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
